DOODH PEDAS

Peda  is a sweet from the Indian subcontinent,usually prepared in thick,semi-soft pieces.The main ingredients are khoya,sugar and traditional flavorings,including cardamom seeds,pistachio nuts and saffron.The colour varies from a creamy white to a caramel colour.The word peda is also generically used to mean a blob of any doughy substance, such as flour or (in the case of the sweet) khoya.But Doodh peda made condensed milk and milk powder .Origin of Peda may be credited to the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh, and the variety from the city of Mathura in that state was considered to be the best.   INGREDIENTS:- Milk Powder-2 cups Condensed milk-1 can (400gm) Butter-8 tbsp Cardamom-4 (peel and crush the seeds in powder) Saffron-few stands(soaked in 1 tbsp of milk)(optional) METHOD:- 1-In a heavy bottom pan melt the butter. 2-Add the milk powder and mix well.Cook on low to medium flame,stirring constantly 3-Then add condensed milk and mix continuously till

BOMBAY SANDWICH

Bombay sandwich is very famous street food in the city of Mumbai.It's very easy to make and a quick snack dish.On white bread green chutney and butter is applied and then thinly sliced tomatoes,onions rings, cucumber and potatoes are sandwiched between the bread slices.Can be enjoyed with green chutney and ketchup. INGREDIENTS:- Bread slices-4 Butter-4 tsp Green chutney-See this recipe here Tomato ketchup-2 tablespoon Boiled potato-1(cut into circular slices) Cucumber-1/2(cut into circular slices) Onion-1(cut into circular slices) Tomato-1(cut into circular slices) Chat masala-2 pinch Salt-2 pinch Grated Cheese-2 tbsp or Sliced cheese-2  METHOD:- 1-Spread butter on the both slice of breads. 2-Spread green chutney on other side of both slice of the breads. 3-Arrange potato slices and sprinkle a pinch of salt evenly over it. 4-Then arrange cucumber,onion and tomato slices and sprinkle a pinch of chat masala and 1 tbsp or 1 slice cheese evenly

MACHA PATURI

Fish Paturi or Maacha Paturi is a famous royal dish in eastern part of India.Generally fish is sliced evenly,and then wrapped in a banana leaf, after the fish has been hit by a basting of freshly pasted mustard with a hint of mustard oil, chili, turmeric and salt.So let's start.......... INGREDIENTS:- Fish-4 pieces(You can use Rohu,Carp,Hilsa,Bekti,Tilapia,Salmon,Swai or See bass.I used Hilsa) Mustard seeds-1/2 cup Mustard oil-1 tbsp Turmeric powder-1/4 tsp+2 pinch Grated coconut-2 tbsp Red chili powder-1/8 tsp Slit or chopped green chilies-4 Banana leaves or pumpkin leaves or bottle gourd leaves or cabbage leaves or silver foil-4(Usually Banana leaf is used for this recipe,but I couldn't find it.I wanted to give a leafy flavor for this recipe,that's why I used cabbage leaf.) FOR PASTE- Mustard seeds-3 tbsp Poppy seeds-1 tbsp Dry red chilies-4-5 Garlic cloves-4-5  METHOD:- 1-Soak mustard seeds and Poppy seeds in water for 20 minutes. 2
