CREME BRULEE

Crème brûlée also known as burnt cream,creme catalana or Trinity cream is a dessert consisting of a rich custard base topped with a contrasting layer of hard caramel.It is normally served at room temperature.
The custard base is traditionally flavored with vanilla.So let's start...

INGREDIENTS:-

Egg yolks-4
Heavy cream-1 cups
Sugar-1/4 cup
Vanilla extract-1 tsp
White sugar-8 tsp(for caramelized topping)
Ramekins-4

METHOD:-

1-Preheat oven to 300 degrees F.
2-In a large mixing bowl,whisk egg yolks and sugar thoroughly.
3-Afterwards,add heavy cream and vanilla extract and whisk until well blended.Evenly pour mixture into each ramekin.
4-Place ramekins in water bath (water-filled pan) and bake in oven until set around edges,but still soft in middle (approximately 40-45 minutes).
5-Remove from oven and let stand until cooled.Take cups from water bath and chill in refrigerator for 1-2 hours or overnight.
6-When ready to serve,evenly sprinkle about 2 tsp of sugar on top of each custard.…

SODA SHIKANJI

Soda Shikanji  is a very refreshing drink. very easy to prepare and is a popular summer drink throughout north Indian states. It is best served in an earthen glass or matka.So let's start......



INGREDIENTS:-

Lemon Juice-2(juice of 2)
Chilled Plain soda-2 glass
Roasted Cumin powder-1 tsp
Chat masala-1 tsp
Black salt as required
sugar-6 tbsp
Water-3 tbsp
Some Ice cubes

METHOD:-

1-Boil the 3 tbsp water along with sugar and make a sugar syrup by dissolving the sugar.Keep aside and let it cool.
2-Cut the lemon in to two and squeeze all to remove juice.Take 2 glasses of plain soda in a bowl.
3-Add sugar syrup,lemon juice,black salt,sugar,roasted cumin powder,chat masala and stir till the sugar dissolves.
4-Pour shikanji through a strainer into glasses,add ice cubes and serve chilled.
(you can also chill in the fridge and then serve.It is best served in an earthen glass or matka.)
