All purpose flour-1 1/2 cups
Semolina-1/2 cup
Baking soda-1/2 tsp
Cardamom powder-1 tsp
Unsalted butter/ ghee-1 cup
Sugar-1 cup


Some chopped pistachios


1-Preheat oven at 375 degree F.Grease the baking tray butter or ghee or cooking spray.
2-Mix flour,semolina,cardamom powder and baking soda in a bowl.Keep aside.
3-Add butter and sugar in a mixing bowl and beat for two to three minutes until light and fluffy.
4-Combine Flour mixture with Butter Mixture to form a soft dough.
5-Divide the dough into equal parts and make them into balls or square shapes.
6-Press them with the help of your palms,arrange them on the greased baking tray and sprinkle chopped pistachios on the top.
7-Put them about a inch apart.Bake for 13 to 15 minutes or until Nan khatai are lightly golden brown.
8-Remove from oven and let the nan khatai cool for 5 minutes and serve.
