MUTTER PANEER

INGREDIENTS:-

Paneer-2 cup(cubed)
Mutter- 1 cup
Onions- 1 finely chopped
Tomatoes-2 finely chopped
Ginger-1/2 tbsp paste
Garlic-1/2 tbsp paste
Garam Masala Powder-1/2 tsp
Turmeric Powder-1 tsp
Coriander Powder-1/2 tsp
Cumin Powder- 1/2 tsp
Cumin seeds-1 tsp
Whole garam masala-1 tsp
Kasoori methi leaves-1/2 tsp
Broken Cashew nuts-1 tsp
Red Chili Powder-to taste
Oil- 2 tbsp
Salt to taste
Water-as needed
Heavy cream-2 tbsp
Freshly chopped Cilantro to garnish

METHOD:-

1-Heat 1 tbsp oil in a pan and gently stir-fry the cubes of paneer till golden in colour.
2-Then remove paneer on a paper towel and keep aside.
3-In the remaining oil add cashew nuts and lightly sauteed them.
4-Then add chopped onions and cook until they begin to turn light brown colour.
5-Then add ginger garlic paste and stir for a minute.
6-Then add chopped tomatoes,cook until tomatoes are just soft.
7-Remove this mixture from heat and allow it to cool.
8-In a blender,grind this mixture into a fine paste.
9-In the same pan heat rest of the oil.
10-Add whole garam masala and cumin seeds and cook just until sizzling.
11-Then add mutter and simmer for 2 minutes.
12-Then add the ground paste,turmeric powder,salt and some water
13-Then add garam masala powder,coriander powder,cumin powder and kasoori methi.
14-Cook it for 2 minutes,then add paneer and mix well,then cover it and simmer for 5-6 minutes.
15-Garnish with chopped cilantro and heavy cream.
16-Serve hot with roti or naan.
